Fiesta – An American Icon in New Zealand. Fiesta was created by Frederick Hurten Rhead, a Stoke-on-Trent potter and became the design director of Homer Laughlin in 1927. The Homer Laughlin China Company introduced America’s favourtie dinnerware at the Pittsburgh China & Glass Show in January, 1936.
The original five colours were Red, Yellow, Cobalt Blue, Green and Ivory. The shapes of Fiesta are in an Art Deco style. Colours have varied over the years depending on current trends.
Today, Fiesta dinnerware is the most collected dinnerware in the history of the tabletop industry with well over one half billion pieces produced.
Each piece of Fiesta ware comes with a five year chip warranty, is made in the USA, lead free, oven proof, microwave and dishwasher safe.
